West Mersea Oyster Bar first opened its doors in 2006 with Michael Dawson as an expansion to his oyster business. It soon became huge success.
On April 1st 2010, Chris Avila (Head Chef) & Sel Yuzen (Manager) took over the ownership of the Oyster Bar with an improved menu & modernised interior.
The West Mersea Oyster Bar is all about offering quality fresh fish & seafood dishes & of course some of the best oysters that can be found in the world. The Colchester Rock Oysters & the Mersea Native Oysters are bred right here in the creeks of West Mersea & then processed in the shed that is on the side of the restaurant.
Our restaurant is fully licensed & we offer a wide range of soft drinks, beers & wines.
We also sell all the items on the menu for takeaway so just give us a call or pop in if your want to enjoy our food in the comfort of your own home.
